Dr. Sutha Nanthan graduated with MBBS from Nalanda Medical College, India in 1979. He was in the service of the Malaysian government as a GP until 1990. In 1990 Dr. Sudha started his general practice which evolved into a family group medical practice. His practice offers physiotherapy and rehabilitation as well as gym facilities. He also runs a Family Medicine clinic, Dermatology Clinic, and Occupational clinic. His core interest is Family Medicine and encompasses worksite health promotion and lifestyle enhancement in his practice.
Dr. Sutha has a Masters degree in occupational medicine from Winconsin Medical College, USA in 2000. He is a Consultant in Occupational Medicine. He also did his Membership examination in the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia in 2009 and was awarded with “MAFP “and later “FAFP” in 2014. He also received his Fellowship from Royal Australian College of GPs in 2009.
At the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia he was a Council member since 1996, then Honorary General Secretary from 2007 to 2010, and was President of AFPM from 2011 to 2012. He still contributes to AFPM through the annually held “Practice Orthopaedic Course for GPs” and is a Faculty Member and Examiner in Diploma in Family Medicine and in the Faculty of Primary Care Dermatology.
